I made this lightweight summer shirt from Butterick 4712, a vintage Seventies mens shirt pattern. It has long sleeves with sleeve plackets, side vents, and a collar stand and no collar. Perfect for hot summer days when I want to look cool but not too casual. A nice complement to my recently-completed striped cotton pants.
More about these on my blog, Male Pattern Boldness. Malepatternboldness.blogspot.com
I used a very lightweight, slightly transparent cotton weave I found in the Garment District in NYC.
