I made this shirt from McCall’s 3087, a vintage men’s pattern from 1954. It’s a casual sport shirt with an interesting closure involving a hidden yoke; there’s no button placket. How does one get into this shirt, you may be wondering? Aha!
It’s very comfy and rather roomy — a bit like an overshirt or tunic.
More about the shirt on my blog, Male Pattern Boldness.
Our Men’s Shirt Sew-Along starts February 1.

I used a lightweight, pale gray cotton flannel I bought locally in the Garment District in NYC. I used vintage plastic buttons from my local flea market.
