Description

I used a vintage year 1943 pattern, Simplicity #1961, to make this chilly weather shirt for my husband. The fabric is a soft 100% cotton flannel in a blue plaid just like on the cover drawing! There are rounded corner sleeve cuffs, an over-sized collar, gathered back, and a duo of button-down lapel chest pockets. There are also French seams inside and broadcloth to support the shoulder yoke. This was a very petite size small and I had to make some adjustments to the pattern to fit his tall frame.
