I had envisaged Rock Chick meets Elegance kinda stylee – hmmm did I succeed?
I’ve been rocking blue of late (the last four items I’ve made have been blue) should I be worried having a blue period??
I used stretchy velvet (reminder to self, don’t work with velvet without a mask) those pesky fibers that float around when using the overlocker aren’t very nice..
I added a shoulder strap; I’m not a big fan of strapless bras (they don’t hold anything up)! For comp purposes I can tuck in so no one would be any the wiser. Photos are incriminating though..
I did have a bit of bother with the side pleats; they just didn’t want to sit right. It didn’t help that fabric became very bulky (my Betty Bernina worked overtime trying to sew these together).
I’m quite pleased with the end results, dress can be dressed up or down.
Thanks Ang for some great pics, you rock girl!
