I really love my melon Kasia…then I saw this free pattern on the german BurdaStyle page. The leftovers of the skirt were enough for this shirt. Okay the pattern called for light weight fabrics and the smallest size was a 36 (I usually need a 34/XS). But I gave it a try and reduced the seam allowance to make it a bit smaller.
The fit is far away from perfect and the very stiff coral linen forms a melon in front of my belly (and it crinkles from even looking at it). It’s a just for fun project and I don’t want to invest more time in altering it. The last picture shows it in combination with the melon skirt…well, a melon overdose.
May be I will wear it together when somebody throws a fruit themed party :)
