Burda Style For people who sew
Description
This is a ladybag costume I made for Rachele, this week is Carnevale, so from last Thursday to next Tuesday there are a lot of events :)
This lucky baby for her first carnevale will be a ladybug ;)
I used a McCall’s pattern for the suit, but i had to modify it (it is closed at the bottom and I added a zipper closure on the front). I made the wings with light felt, lightweight padding and velvet dots zigzaged on it :)
I attached them with an adjustable belt closed with velcro and completed the costume with a cap (lined with cotton jersey) and antennas ;)
I’m so proud of the result… :D

Oh so cute!! My baby – who is two this week, has just learn the word “BUG” – fittingly she’s having a lady bug cake – I’m trying to find a few hours this week to make her a little bug outfit to wear to her afternoon tea-party b’day on sunday. Wings like this would be perfect!!!
