This is a Medieval style jacket I designed recently for a friend’s wedding. The bride chose her own fabrics and I adapted an old princess line dress pattern to create a jacket. The dress underneath was something the bride already owned (but wasn’t the right shade to match the jacket) so I turned it inside out and overlaid it with the lace used on the lower sleeves.
Fabrics: Turquoise silk, gold lace, pale blue anti-static lining and satin ribbon, Fastenings: 2 large hook & eye fasteners and ribbon lacing at back

So wonderful. Great look, beautiful color. Great idea for the lace overlay

How very beautiful! Your creative thought to use the underside of the dress and overlay it with lace was such a grand idea! All I can say is that the overall look is a fantasy come true!
