Yes, another ruffle top. Based off the JJ pattern, but this one is a bit more rough around the edges, and a little more avant-garde. I’m heading in a high-fashion /peasant direction, and here we are.
Beautiful neutral colored designer surplus silk with lovely drape and hand. Seams and edges are serged in darker browns, ruffles are topstitched. Amazing texture in person. Double breasted, snap closures.
I cut this fabric as I was cutting a custom order and I was planning on sewing it the ‘right’ way… but I’m bored of sewing the ‘right’ way!! This was pretty fun. I love the way the texture came out, and the creative process was quite satisfying.
silk, thread, snaps, love

WOW. I LOVE this creation. It’s both classic and futuristic hard edge yet delicate. I would love to have this. The contrast is also super. I wish I saw more stuff like this in stores!

I am speechless. This is gorgeous. You say, rough around the edges, and thats exactly what I love about this blouse-the contrast between rough around the edges and sophisticated. Pictures are lovely too.

Nice contrasts. Delicate, but with a touch of attitude.

I think it’s great. I’m usually not that keen on the serged-on-the -outside look, but in this case, I love the lines and texture it provides and your adaptions to the JJ pattern work very well this way.

The texture, the color, the feel of the fabric… it’s all beautiful. I really like your take on the JJ pattern. You can see “your style” in the way you made the changes to the pattern. Awesome job! :o)
