Top review: I used some Liberty of London fabric and sewed a simple shell using a 1960’s sewing pattern
A pair of shorter length shorts with slash pockets a fly zip, and a waistband.
I made a size 12
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
I do believe the style and fit were very similar although I din’t make my shorts in lace.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, the directions were excellent
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I was surprised that the pattern sizing was actually a little snug. I usually cut a 10 because even though I am supposed to be a size 12 according to my measurements, the patterns usually have too much ease for my liking. But these shorts fit perfectly and were actually little small in the crotch seam. I had to let out the seam almost completely.
I used a cotton striped linen blend shirting from Micheal Levine fabrics.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, I really like my shorts.
