A size 2 dress using barely 1m of quilting cotton from my stash that was ear marked for cushions but never got around to making. I wanted to practice fully lining a dress so made a child version of a dress a little like the one I am planning for myself. In the lining I added a big lace edged ruffle to a yoke for the skirt to make it lovely and ‘poofy’ to wear.
The inside of this dress is as neat as the outside and it was great to practise in a small size before trying the same method for a dress for me.
This is a really lovely little girls pattern I really recommend it.
Quilting cotton (Anna Griffin for Windham Fabrics from the Fiona collection) and a cotton voile lining.
