McCall 1946

Melbourne, Austr...

I love the 40’s! I wore this dress to a Wedding at the end of April. Made using McCall 6527 (from 1946) with only a few adjustments – bust darts dopped by half an inch, bodice cut and spread to fit my waist and skirt length shortened by 5 inches. Most fun was hand slip-stitching all the hems and sleeve facings.. I’m serious, I love that stuff!!

Material Notes

100% silk print from Rathdowne Fabrics & Remnants

This is beautiful, I love the fabric and the way it’s gathered on the shoulder!
