I’ve always wanted a maxi dress for summer. This was my first attempt at making one. I didn’t use any patterns. I made a tube-like lower part with elastic at the top and then I added the upper part with straps that are crisscrossed at the back. I think the cleavage is a bit too low and I might change it a bit to feel more comfortable in the dress

Oh, nice… I spent some of summer in Provence, loads of the french ladies wore dresses similar to yours and it was sooo stylish in the heat… made me want one too (and a big hat to go with it). I’ll be inspired by yours if I get around to making one!

Despite the length, maxi dresses are very cool and comfortable for summer. I was in Provence last year. Loved it tremendously. :)
