I saw this Eva Franco dress on Modcloth and then on Zooey Deschanel a few months ago and knew I had to make my own. I had the matroyshka doll dress fabric from fabric.com already, and then I found the perfect blue. The top is an altered McCalls 6745 view C. I lowered the neckline a bit and then copied the same line to lower the back into a V as well. Since I only had a yard of the doll fabric, I knew I couldn’t make the skirt from M6745, though it would have been perfect. I decided to use Simplicity 2444 for the skirt instead. I like how it turned out!
