I made a maternity version of the awesome Burdastyle knit wrap top pattern from the 11/2011 issue. I made it up per the pattern except I added several inches of length and about two inches of width (by slashing and spreading) to the front pieces. Then I ruched the sides of the front to match the back. It worked. These pictures are from earlier in pregnancy when my belly wasn’t very big but I am still wearing it now at 30 weeks. In fact, the hem has seemed to even out now (same front and back). The fabric I used is a very stretchy sweater knit. I love the way the top is constructed and the dropped shoulders have really grown on me. This is a pattern I will definitely revisit in the future.
