Another maternity shirt for my sister! This one is made with the jersey left from my old project
Wrap around maternity top
It seems this fabric was born to become maternity clothes!
The pattern is the same of the Maternity shirt 3 but I modified the back to be less bare, reduced the dècolletè, removed the details from the straps and added a band with elastic core in the bottom part.
In this shirt I also added a white band under the breast as decoration and put the elastic gathering only in the front (this was actually not planned, but when I realized the gathering all around the shirt I used the wrong elastic strain and it turned out too tight, so I unstitched the gathering on the back…)
Maybe it’s not so visible from the picture but the seams on the armholes and neckline are made with twin needle and white thread to create an additional decoration that recalls the two white bands.
