I told one of my friends that I love sewing, so then she asked if I could make them a wedding gift instead of buying them something. I said of course! This was many months ago. Of course I was sewing furiously only a few hours before the ceremony. Anyway, I picked a cute green/white seersucker pattern for the fabric to match with the wedding colors (actually green and black). For the woman’s shorts I used BurdaStyle Jane, and for the men’s pants I used Simplicity 9871 (a really simple pattern I’ve used several times already).
I also customized some plain white t-shirts. My friend always tells us how she’s always right. That means her husband is always …
I printed onto freezer paper, cut out the letters, ironed it onto the shirts, and used fabric paint to customize the shirts.
Green/White cotton seersucker, about 3.5 yards (the guy is really tall).

It’s such a lovely idea… and so true, as anybear knows women are alway right. I also like the idea of a drawstring waist.
