Description

I have always been drawn to the sexy silhouette a bustier will give but often disappointed in commercial patterns on the market. I finally came up with an easy flattering pattern and technique to achieve this. Strapless or with cute bra straps, circle skirt, short, long, so many dresses can be created from this foundation. This is my first dress with the pattern. It only took me about two hours to complete and about 1.5 yards of fabric. The fabric is a micro houndstooth of wool and lycra.

Material Notes

1.5 yards of fabric, 1.5 yards lining, invisible zipper, boning

Difficulty

Intermediate

The cups are always tricky in bustiers, I make my own bra cups from a thin fabric covered foam. When you make the cups you can control the size and shape while achieving a factory finish
