it was my sister’s birthday & she wanted me to make her a special dress.
a special purple dress.
she found a sketch i did several years ago & told me that she wanted it to look like that.
i remembered the dress. and then realized that is was very very very similar to the “maryy” dress pattern here on burda.
so yayyy. printed off maryy. made a few adjustments. made a little BRIGHT yellow sweater w/ purple accents. and then got jealous.
i’m working on another maryy for myself right now. :]
oh. my sis loved it BTW.

How lovely of you to make a dress for your sister. She looks gorgeous in it and the shrug is very pretty. Great colours. Well done.

ooooh! I love you non-fear of color!!! so wonderful, the combo of both the color and the contrasting fabric types is just excellent – what a lucky sister!

It’s very cute and your sister looks so pretty in it! (I am kind of ashamed – have to make something for my own sister and soon! :-))
