This is my last school project, the subject was something like “philological patterns drawing”.
We had to make a little researc about a woman of the regency period and than make a dress she could wear in her life. I chose Mary Wollstonecraft (Mary Shelley’s mother), and I thought this dress could be perfect for her women vindications, not so sexy but convenient and elegant :)
Everything is made with white thin musslin, very hard to work with it! I added a bit of tulle lace around the neck, to make it smarter ;)

Absolutely astounding!!!! I know it’s oldfashioned now, but I’d wear it!!! I wonder if hubby would mind… :-) It’s so beautiful – your work shows in every detail!!!!

This art of dress looks absolutely lovely, every single detail of it! Must be true what they say – it’s all in the details:)

So romantic! I think you’ve captured the regency period here.

This is simply gorgeous! And I wouldn’t agree that it isn’t sexy (not everything revealing is sexy and attractive I think) because to me it is sexy and romantic and sophisticated at the same time! Great job!

I can try, but I’m not sure I’m able to do it ;)

oh how beautiful! I really love the back around the shoulders. That detail
would make for a beautiful, modern dress. Perhaps you should do
a modern version of this dress!
