Sew Lisette (Simplicity) 2211. Blouse, view E.

Tilda cotton, 1m.

I didn’t put gathers in the sleeves; instead, I used pleats. I think it looks nicer! The sleeve band is quite snug. I would probably add 1-2cm more ease if I were making it again. The pattern is also short. I lengthened it by 3cm and made a narrower hem and still find it short. Still, it’s comfortable and wasn’t too difficult.

ETA: the sizing on the pattern runs quite large. I’m a 33" bust and cut out the size 14 to find it was gigantic. Ended up using the size 6!

      Thanks :) I took about 5cm at the top (sleeve cap) and maybe 3-4cm at the bottom (sleeve band). All I did was match the centre notches on the sleeve with those on the armhole and sleeve band and then fold in the extra fabric to make the pleat. It was fiddly but got it to work eventually!

    honestly, i hadn’t thought of making this until i saw your version. your fabric is so cute it just brings out the cuteness i was overlooking :D

    I love this blouse! Beautifully sewn, great pattern, and super fabric choice. The pleats in the sleeves are a great idea. I’ve got to try this pattern.
