I don’t qualify for the summer sewing challenge since I live in the UK, however, I made this summer dress last week and I couldn’t resist sharing since I’m so pleased with how it turned out. I absolutely love this vintage cotton which was given to me by a friend. It came from her mother’s attic.
Like my Kasielle, it’s another franken-pattern. The top is from the Kristen dress but with small pleats, rather than contrasting plackets down the front. The bottom is the Marie skirt. At the last minute, I decided to add in-seam pockets. You can never have enough pockets and the fullness of the Marie skirt hides them well.
