A jacket for my favourite niece’s baby girl due in a few weeks. I wanted something babyish, but bold and not pastel. I’ve put it down as for wear in the transitional seasons, but it may be okay for a Dutch summer next year.
Pure cotton everything except the metal press studs.

This is adorable! My mom made me a few of these jackets when my daughter was born and they were my favourite clothes for her. I’m sure Mariska will love it! :)

Thanks, I hope so…there is a tiny flaw in the embroidery around the hem, my husband said not to worry about it, but I was disappointed.
How is your sewing going btw, anything new on the horizon? My brother and girlfriend have announced they are getting married in October, so I now have to make Myself a dress, Clare want s to buy hers with h Christmas money, so it’s just me I need to cater for :)

I’ve been busy with my book, which is supposed to publish in two weeks, so I’ve had no time to sew. Boohoo! :( I’ve been living vicariously through you! LOL
I’m hoping to get back to sewing as soon as I publish and get a life back.
Ooooh, that is so fun! I can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Thanks Mary, I didn’t sew much for my two when they were smal, but I really enjoyed making this, hopefully there will be more babies in the family to keep up my skills ;)
