A pair of Marie Antoinette inspired fabric covered shoes I made for Halloween. There are still a few stray threads that need to be clipped and some really cute little jewels to add to the center of the bow, but I thought they turned out pretty well. I followed the BurdaStyle Fabric Covered Shoes tutorial. It was a sticky mess but I turned a boring pair of black Walmart pumps into a pair of super girl semi- authentic pair of 18th century shoes. The money I saved from not buying a pair online was an extra bonus. It was a super easy project that I finished in an afternoon.
I used 1 yard of gold brocade, 5ft of gold ribbon, and maybe 1ft of large light blue ribbon. I also used basting spray and Modpodge which accounted for the sticky mess.
