My boyfriend had a much cherished pair of black jeans that finally ripped in the crotch after a year of near constant wear. I ripped all of the seams apart and made these shorts from the pieces. The best part was that I could use the existing belt loops because I always think belt loops are fussy. I used the Anita pattern with a contrasting fabric for the inner waistband and yellow thread detail.
