Description

3 button blazer with gathers at the shoulder caps, center back waist and side fronts. I decided to add all the top stitching details forgetting that I suck at top stitching. Only one alternation made to the pattern, an extra inch was added to the bottom to make the jacket slightly longer.

Material Notes

Gray Stretch Denim from emmaonesock.com. The top stitching is Guttermann heavyweight thread. Lining is plum stretch charmeuse from the bottom of the fabric stash.

This is a free pattern from the Portuguese fashion mag Manequim. It only comes in size 44 which happens to fit my measurements. You can get a rough translation of the directions if you drop them in a web translator. For the most part I worked out how to construct this by making a muslim and using my sewing reference book.

    Great job! I downloaded this blazer too and I am pretty sure I am close to their size 44, or close enough to grade with my limited skills. Your fabric choice is excellent and I think I will add this to my (growing!) list of jackets. It is third in line behind Stella & Hikaru :) I better hurry up, Winter is almost half over here, hehe. I love the gather at the back below the waist band and the buttons look fab too :)
