Description

For an article I was writing for my sewing/upcycle blog about recycling t-shirts, I found this new sew tutorial from threadbanger.com via Generation T. I cut the waist of the t-shirt off—right underneath the arms—and cut 50 or so 1/2 inch strips one inch from the top. Then pull. Wrap and pin with something. I used a gold whale pin.

Took me 20-25 minutes to cut all those strips, but it’s one of the hottest things I own now.

Material Notes

oversize t-shirt, fabric scissors, quilting ruler, and brooch.

I love it!!!!!! I made some necklaces using a similar technique and I was thinking of making scarves for winter and you just gave me the perfect idea to embelish them!
