Man bag from pants

Added Nov 7, 2010

by Natasha Venzke

Stanford, South ...

I made this as a birthday present. It’s the first bag I’ve made for a guy. The whole bag is made from old wool pants. I used the back pocket of the pants on the flap. I usually put the keyring on a ribbon, but I used some red rope this time. The strap is from an old suitcase. I wanted to make an adjustable strap, but I only had one day to make the bag and no time to go to the store.

Material Notes

My dad’s “dry clean only” wool pants that shrunk in the wash :)
Red quilted lining.

Thank you. I’ve never done a tutorial, but I think this would be a good start.
