This is my first time posting and I am super excited because I love how this outfit turned out! This is Vogue pattern 1259 designed for 2 way strech knits, and believe me you want a 2 way strech. I have been in love with this pattern for a long time but knits used to scare me. The strech seemed intimidating. So I started expeirimenting with knits about a year ago and when I was close to my due date for my son about 10 weeks ago, I decieded to go for it. And I am glad I did!
I decieded not to do the key hole in the back and I did not do the turleneck. The turle neck just didn’t look right on me. The pattern pieces are really odd (especially for the top) and did not start making sence until I started putting it together. The skirt was pretty easy but the top was more complicated.I love the way it fits and the way I feel wearing it, and after haveing baby number 2 I was in need of feeling like a lady again!

Thank you! The stiching itself wasn’t hard butkeeping track of the pattern pieces was. There was only 4 pieces to the top but they were such strange shapes I had to keep looking at the directions to remember which piece was which and what side went where. I measure a size 20 but this is actually a size 16. It is the largest size on this pattern. Since I made it while I was still pregnant i just went for and I think it fts great. I have never really trusted pattern sizeing though, it never seams to be very acurate. shrug
