Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I made the easy Malissa dress in pure Icelandic wool, which I bought in Reykjavik last summer. The grey part of the dress is made of woolen jersey by the meter, the colourful part is handknitted. But both are exactly the same kind of untwined wool, which is called Lothband in Icelandic. It was fun knitting it, but boy, that takes a lot of time compared to sewing!
The necklace is made of the same wool too. I saw a knitted necklace in the shop of the Museum of Decoratives Arts in Paris, it costed €200! I thought: I can do that myself and then it’ll only cost me time.

Wauw, dit is echt heel erg mooi gemaakt, het patroon is super en past echt supergoed bij de stof en ik vind het geweldig hoe je je eigen breiwerk met deze stof hebt gecombineerd. Echt een hele mooie en aparte stijl!

Thanks! I never understood the criticism on Malissa, because it is an easy dress to make, and you can change the pattern to your taste, and – very important – it looks good on several kinds of bodies. Hurray for the FREE Malissa!
