Description

I refashioned this from a dress a friend brought back from Mali years and years ago. I never wore the dress (which was essentially a strip of cloth sewn up the sides) but it has some beautiful hand embroidery along the neckline so I never could part with it either! I copied another shirt from my closet, but this is still too big and needs to be taken in. I’m a novice at this though so for now it’s fine :)

I think I would do the same! It looks great; maybe some small darts could help with the size? Though then there also could be problems with putting it on… I’m a novice, too, you know. :-)

Can understand you couldn’t part with the dress. The embroidery is really beautiful. Good job for a novice!
