Male Storm costume (Marvel) for Carneval.

Added May 28, 2013

Copenhagen, Denmark

I’ve made a carneval costume for Aalborg Karneval 2013 i Denmark. I wanted to make a male outfit for the Storm caracter form X-men. Storm is normally a female caracter but I made my own version ;)
I used white satin for the cape making it double coated and sewed a gold edge on it. For the cross on the chest I used a 50mm satin ribbon.
I hadn’t been sewing for a long time, so it was a lot of fun to design and sew.
Enjoy :)

Other than being a super cute costume I was taken by how well made it looks. I would imagine that it is extremely difficult to not have every unfitted poorly sewn spot be glaring . Well done, looking forward to seeing more men’s clothes here!

It was quite a challenge to make it, because I was not sure that the design would work before I put it on. Fortunately it fitted like a charm, so it was nice :)
Right now I’m design a skirt for my wife so the next design will be for woman, but more men’s clothes are on the way :)

That is really great work! I have always found working with satin very hard. You did a great job.

Thank you. Yes I found that this project was quit a mouthful because it was my first project after a long break, but I’m really happy with the result :)
