very simple way how to make dress out of large skirt. when u seperate skirt part u usually have one front part and two back part (depends on a skirt). have in mind, that it’s good to use parts with darts in front of the skirt on breast part, other parts use them whatever u want. i haven’t sew this dress yet, just posted pictures because of my bad explanation. hope u undersstand it more now.
and of course use your imagination!!
