I made this for an art project in school where we had to pick a book and use it’s themes as the basis for our work.
I chose “A streetcar Named Desire” which is really great if you get a chance to read/go see/watch the video of it.
Er yeah, its made of the pages of the book sewn together. I used a random pattern from a shop in town, sorry I’ve totally forgotton it. I added the sleeves, which are the same paper with loads of tiny moths cut out of them to look like lace.
Haha it was the first dress I ever made, apart from the test one I guess. No-one’s ever worn it though because it would rip instantly.
Note: I burnt the bottom after this picture was taken.
I’ll add close-ups sometime when my cam is working.
