Basically, I tried to use as many pre-existing seams as possible, the skirt is made up of two bottoms of cut off blue jeans legs opened up, ironed flat and sewn together. I used another section of the discarded fabric and made a trapezoid for the bib part of the jumper, which I sewed onto the finished skirt. The back was a little low, so I stitched on a strip of denim to it. I fit it to Maizy to get the right length for the straps. Then I added a little pleat in the back, to get a better fit for her. I finished it by removing a back pocket from a pair of jeans and sewing it to the bib as a pocket.
