Description
The fusion of card making and fashion sewing! This is a Note card that I have sewn using the Islander Sewing MyStyle Greetings. The little dress is made scraps of left over fabrics. Blue silk dupioni has been used for the dress. Black Sparkle lace with bats on it left over from a halloween costume is used for the under-dress. Gold and red trim and a little black bow with a pearl bead at the waist. A blank note card that I glued some decorative paper on to and the dress form. I actually did sew this little dress on to the cards dress form. This was so much fun to make and hopefully the person I made it for will appreciate the thought.

It’s lovely, when are you going to make a full sized version to wear?

Hmmm… I’m not sure I like the fabric combination for a life size version but the style is a “have to”. I will play with a few more fabric combinations and hopefully do a fun life size one for a garden party in the near future. Thanks for the kind words!

I keep forgetting that when I put things on here, it posts to my facebook wall unless I tell it not to, anyways, one of my friends thought it was a picture of a life size dress and wanted one but thought it looked too expensive to afford :-)

That’s funny! One of my friends on facebook asked for one too and I told her it would be a bit breezy since it’s only one sided.
