This was one of my longest projects yet. These shorts took me ages to knit. I started them in July 2010 and finished them in January 2011. I had knitted a full pair of shorts before these babies, but had to unravel them because they were too big. So I ended up designing my own knitted shorts and this is what i ended up with. A lot of cabling, moss stitch and TIME. But I so love them! My fellow blogger set it as a challenge to me… consider challenge number 3 completed!
I made the blouse to go with the shorts. I used some curtaining for the lace section and then pleating the floral section at the front. I added some fullness to the back section. I am not entirely happy with the blouse, but it was an experiment and I will continue to experiment!
