A new hat for Marie… do you think it´s possible to make a hat that´s too big and too small at the same time? Of course it is! Just start with a pattern too small, try to make it bigger by adding huge allowances, and than realize during the process that it isn´t really working. Rip a seam here, rip a seam there, sew it together again and you end up with a charming hat that´s not really fitting, but you can have some fun with anyway :).
quite thick cotton for the outside, lightweight yellow – white cotton for the lining, interfacing

tres chic!!! hats are a tricky thing to sew…too big and too small, I know what you mean ;)))
hello burdastyle…are there any childrens’ hat patterns (not babies) that look at least slightly better than paper-hats? I’ve searched heaven and h… but couldn’t find one.

Perfect for summer. I have a fun newsboy cap pattern that I made for my nephew, I should send it to you.

thank you! it´s probably too thick for summer… I should have known that :). A pattern would be great, but I´m not familiar with printing a pattern, so I don´t know how would that go. Maybe it´s possible to buy envelope patterns for kid hats :).
