Here are my entries for Julia Bobbin’s Mad Men Challenge. The pattern is my own, self drafted, and inspired by two evening dresses of Joan. They are almost the same, except some design details and finishing. Both have been sewn using a lot of couture elements (underlining, catch stitching, inner support) but that is not the greatest thing about them. The real thing I am proud of is that you are looking at two complete “Make Do and Mend” garments. Both are recycled items from my travels in India about 15 years ago.
