When the ‘Mad Men’ fever takes hold I become consumed with obsessive thoughts on how to re-create the dress that has become the focus of my latest obsession.
Meet my latest copy-cat; a gingham print dress worn by the character Peggy Olson from the TV series ‘Mad Men.’ She is so sweet it makes me want to douse my eyes in sugar syrup.
And no, I haven’t chopped off my locks, I’ve gotten tricky and pinned it all up and under to make it look like I have a bob hair cut! Sneaky!
For details on how I recreated this dress and a gazillion (sure, that’s a word) more photos, visit my blog at JuliaBobbin

Looks great! Really nice dress! Your hair must have been a work too to pin it all up! But it looks also good!

Wow. Great dress. I’ve loved that dress myself ever since I saw the episode in which Peggy wears it. It’s great and I even thought about recreating it myself (which I won’t, it wouldn’t suit my body). I’ve done it perfectly. Did you use a vintage pattern, adept a pattern or draft our own (I am off to your blog now to find out)?

Turned out wonderful! I’ve yet to venture in to plaids for fear of slightly angled seams. Bravo!
