I agree with Hjh, and this pattern is extremely versatile! I’m definitely making an alteration on it sometime in the near future =]

Oh yes, is that vest on the model ‘Franzi #9302’? It looks lovely too.

Thanks for this pattern! It’s really ready for alterations. :-) Well, we have problems with sewing knits on our machine as well, even with a ballpoint needle, so I prefer sewing them by hand…

Well, I have been scheming about purchasing a ballpoint needle for some time. That would most likely fix my problem. However…One thing you should know is that my machine is a 1963 White. It is a rather temperamental thing and requires many cleanings and manual tinkering. But I am very glad I have had it these seven years! I’ve sewn to the moon and back. :]

Hi Tearsofpearls. Are you sure your machine does not take knits? Usually all home machines should be able to do it. All you need to do is make sure to switch the needle into a ballpoint needle, to avoid holes in the knit. Even though the instructions are asking for a twin needle, you can do it with a single one just as well. (thats what we did..)

I love it! What a great, versatile pattern we can reuse and mixup again and again. You can make a thousand different shirts from this just by changing the sleeves and neckline!
