I had a little trouble with the fabric being pulled down into the bobbin cavity at times. I suspect I should have used a thinner needle.

Thanks everyone! I have used a “jersey” needle, but it’s not a ballpoint needle. I haven’t found a place to buy those yet. Maybe it was just not sharp enough…
