While shopping for fabric this fall I found this super soft knit something at joanns. i was rather sure i’d make a jacket. i cannot reference a pattern, for i drafted it..started with a basic oversized sleeveless shirt-dress and really the rest of it was inspired. I loved the tall neck, added that. It could not go without sleeves..i even left it a couple days on my form to ponder on. i added sleeves, made them 3/4. I added a panel to the front so it would close assymetrically and added only 2 closures—wooden buttons with lovely little trees etched in them. It is not lined, I imagined it as a dress-type jacket. It is pretty warm to wear and it goes with most anything. I’m soo happy with the outcome! It’s comfy and has a real earthy-type look to it. And retro-ish i suppose as well. The fabric looks vintage.
