I’d been doing slow sewing recently so it seems a good time to do some quick sewing with Burda 10/2012’s gathered front knit top (pattern 114). I used a lurex cotton jersey with tiny golden and silver threads. The fabric is quite thin and has both crosswise and lengthwise stretch. The top is more tight fitting than it looks on the magazine’s photo but it’s definitely comfy and nice to wear with jeans. You can see the making of the top on my blog:
Lurex cotton jersey, vilene bias tape, twin needle, ballpoint needle

it looks really nice, i`ve made this one and you are right about the instructions for the sleeves. Without the gathering is not so easy/nice to get them in to the bodice. I thought that mine was so fitted because the fabric was not to stretchy but since you say the same with your 2 way strech than is in the pattern . Anyway, I love your version and I will make one more :).

Thank you! I think the vilene bias tape stablised the armholes quite a bit so it wasn’t possible to stretch the armholes to match the sleeve caps. I’m looking forward to see your second top!
