Starting from the left hand side of your pocket piece, measure out 1/4" and mark accordingly. This is simply to factor in seam allowance. Continue travelling right, making 3 marks with a chalk pencil marking at 1.5" intervals. You are creating 3 narrow slots for your untensils and you will have a wider pocket to the right for your napkin.
Lay pocket piece on top of inner coordinating fabric. Position so that the bottom corners and edges line up. Pin if necessary before sewing.
