Retro Dress was made with fabric from a deconstructed maxi dress I thrifted. The design was taken from 2 different Vogue Patterns. The bodice was drafted from View A of the fantastic V8280 Pattern, and the skirt from Vintage Vogue pattern V1084, an original 1956 Dress design. I love the full back and streamlined front. So flattering for most everyone. Such a fun project.
The shining glory of this number is the beautiful textile. Backed with a heavy Red Satin. Turned out great! Most importantly the birthday girl was happy! ;)
Vintage material salvaged from Deconstructed Vintage dress.
