Have I mentioned how much I love my serger? I made this top in one evening with grey jersey and a vintage polyester floral I found at Goodwill (whoo, score!). I love making buttons, too. So easy and so cute.
This top was based on a plain t-shirt pattern. I altered it by adding gathered sleeves, yoke, sleeve bands, and lower band.

I like your idea for this shirt very much. The pattern of the fabric and the solid gray are an awesome match. The sleeves are not my style…it’s too hot here in Texas, so I would say for me I would love to see this idea with a much shorter sleeve or none at all. I love the way you made your own buttons. That I have not made myself yet and they make the outfit stand out for such a small detail. The look over all is very comfortable and cute. I look forward to seeing more.

ohh crap, i’m so sorry…i just accidentally hit that lightning bolt symbol and didn’t mean to mark this as “inappropriate” at all!! my apologies.
i bought a button-making kit at the fabric store and it was really easy to do! you should definitely give it a try.

Sublime! I love the floral as well. I literally just got home from buying fabric at our local Goodwill! Props!
