This time I am completely satisfied with my wrap top!
Since a while now I tryed constantly to create my own jersey wrap top.
Look at the last pics: In the beginning I was inspired by the vintage pattern simplicity 5018 and then I liked the asymmetrie of the white blouse from Byron Lars.
I also sewed the asymmetrical jersey skirt which matches nicely with the top, I think.
Whenever I will find time I will share my pattern, using this tutorial
May be there is someone in the community who has the same measurements like me (german size 42).

Irmchen! OH MY GOODNESS!!! This is SOOOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!! It TRULY is one of the MOST beautiful tops that I have EVER SEEN!!! I just got through downloading your pattern and your “instructions”. Oh, and by the way…your English is better than some people who speak it and write it for their first language! I cannot WAIT to try to make this top! It will be a VERY difficult task for me…for a couple of reasons. 1) I have not done much sewing AT ALL in my life time. What I have down came out very beautifully. I actually came across a jumpsuit recently that I had started about 20 years ago and just never finished for some reason. The material was still in like new condition! Looking at this website has really gotten me to wanting to pull it out and finish it! That would be so AMAZING! 2) Back to your AMAZING top…the second problem that I would have in making your top is, it would be WAY TO SMALL. I have a lung disease that makes me use oxygen and take LOTS of medicine. The medicine made me gain lots of weight and because I need the oxygen it is almost impossible for me to excercise. SO! I will have to enlargen your pattern. I was wondering if you knew if I could use the same software program that you mentioned to digitize the pattern to make the pattern larger? In fact, I would be VERY OPEN to ideas FROM ANYONE WHO READS MY COMMENT as to how about to best approach my problem. As I stated, I have VERY LITTLE experience in sewing! As long as it’s a straight forward project with little or no problems, I can do ok. But…ALTERING THE PATERN/CUSTOMIZING IT? Yea, not so much!
Thank you so very much for sharing your work! You are a beautiful woman inside AND out! You did a TRULY AMAZING JOB!!! – Shelly

The pattern is a free download here at BurdaStyle. You may use it but it is forbidden to share because it stands under copyright (all rights are reserved by me) just like all patterns here at BurdaStyle which are uploaded from the members.
