My Easter dress!
I saw the fabric and knew it had to be a shirtdress. I think they are just so timelessly classy and the colour is perfect for spring. When I wore it to work all the little blue-haired ladies got all cute at the fact that I was wearing such a dress. Adorable. Enjoy!

This is so 50’s. Have you thought of adding a net petticoat to look even more authentic?! Seriously, I had one just like this in orange, and I wore it to death, but your pink looks so much more delicate and ladylike. I love it.

I love 50’s shirt dresses. Yours looks very well made, good pattern mixing! And the colour looks lovely on you. I think it’s funny how everyone comes up with her own interpetation of a 50’s dress. The shape of yours is a lot softer than mine are, but both are perfectly recognisable.

I really like it – I have been collecting alot of shirt dress patterns from op shops (thrift stores) but havnt been successful in finding one in my size yet. Shirt dresses never seem to date.

thanks all! I was definitely going for a very 50’s look. I made the skirt significantly bigger to get that really gathered hip look.
