A friend of mine does amazing photography; so I asked her to take my senior pictures for me and I’d make her a dress in return. Its taken me months to complete, but only because the pattern for it was extremely messed up. I used Vogue 1174 which I DO NOT recommend! The pattern was much larger than it said it was and I had to take it in about two to three sizes for it to fit properly. The altering took a long time to complete but in the end it did turn out beautifully. Next time I want to make a dress like this, I’ll find another pattern. I’ve been calling it the Demon Dress because of how difficult it was. My friend gave it a better name: Lucifero.
Its fully lined with blue cotton and has a cotton skirt. The top is beautiful tan blend with an ethnic embroidery pattern all over. Both of the fabrics were very easy to sew. It also had a waist stay in it, which was the first one I’ve ever done!
