100% cotton dress with cute lacy belt and matching pockets.
The fabric is almost feel like a kitchen towel.
I think it was a challenge for me to make a right dress with this kind of material.
I arranged a blouse pattern for bodice and just added right amount of fabric for the skirt.
Making belt and pockets with laces was so fun. I enjoyed it and should try it again.
It gives such a lovely spice on simple fabric!
cotton, zipper, covered button, lace

Make it cream and it would be exactly like the dress my mum got married in back in the seventies. I love all the little detailings on it.

OH, really? I would love to see your Mom’s dress!
50s to 70s are my favorite era of fashion.

Alas the photos are at my sister’s place all still most likely in the moving box. She only had a few days to get a dress, as my unromantic dad said “hey I’m free next weekend, lets get married” She wore a cute little jacket with the dress.
